Quick Start Guide
Welcome to Rebilling Pro! Follow these four simple steps to safely automate your recurring billing cycles.
Step 1: 🔐 Security & Permissions
Before beginning the setup, ensure the following roles are assigned:

| Rebill User | AP/AR Staff | Post Invoices & track rebillable costs. |
Note: Admin users must also have native permissions to modify the ‘General Ledger Setup’ for initial activation.
Step 2: Locate the Extension
- Search: Click the 🔍 icon in the top right of Business Central and type “Rebilling Pro Setup”.
- Role Center: Look for the Rebilling Pro action added to your navigation bar (if using an Accountant or Business Manager role).
Step 3: Activation & Legal Acceptance
Before you can automate your ledger, you must activate your license:
- Open the Rebilling Pro Setup page.
- Click Actions > Activate License.
- Read and Accept the Terms & Conditions (this ensures your accounting team is aware of the safety guardrails).
- Enter your License Key. When the status turns Green (Favorable), you are ready to proceed.
Step 4: Configure Your G/L Slots
- Navigate to the G/L Slot Management section.
- Use the Auto-Assign tool to map your recurring entries.
- Pro-Tip: Check the “About” page via the link in the footer to verify your version and view our latest Privacy Policy.
Step 5: Run a Sandbox Test
We highly recommend running your first batch in a Sandbox environment.
- Verify that the G/L entries align with your expected posting dates.
- Once satisfied, export your setup or re-run the process in Production.

Rebilling Pro Legal Terms
1. Software License & Warranty
Rebilling Pro (the “Software”) is provided by LINELIGHT TRADING CANADA INC. on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We do not grant any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
2. Financial Data Responsibility
The Software automates the creation and assignment of General Ledger (G/L) slots and rebilling entries. By using this Software, the User acknowledges that:
- Validation: The User is solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all G/L entries, dimensions, and posting dates generated by the Software.
- Testing: The User agrees to perform comprehensive testing of all “Rebilling” configurations in a Sandbox environment prior to deployment in a Production environment.
- Accounting Errors: LINELIGHT TRADING CANADA INC. shall not be held liable for any accounting discrepancies, tax reporting errors, or financial losses resulting from the automation logic.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LINELIGHT TRADING CANADA INC. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of data) arising out of the use or inability to use the Software.
4. Intellectual Property
The Software, including its logic, branding, and proprietary “Rebilling” algorithms, is the exclusive property of LINELIGHT TRADING CANADA INC. Any unauthorized reverse engineering or distribution is strictly prohibited.
Privacy Policy for Rebilling Pro
1. Data Processing and Storage
Rebilling Pro is a “Native Extension” for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. All data processed by the extension—including license keys, and G/L configurations — is stored exclusively within your Microsoft Dynamics 365 tenant database. LINELIGHT TRADING CANADA INC. does not host your financial data on external servers.
2. Information We Collect
To provide licensing and support services, we may collect the following “Technical Metadata”:
- Microsoft Tenant ID: To validate your license against your specific environment.
- License Key & Status: To ensure uninterrupted service.
- Extension Version: To provide appropriate technical support and updates.
3. Personal Data handled by the Extension
The extension interacts with existing data in your Business Central environment, such as:
- Customer Codes and Customer Names.
- Financial Transaction History.
- G/L Accounts.
4. Third-Party Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties. Because the extension operates within the Microsoft Cloud ecosystem, your data is subject to the privacy and security protections provided by Microsoft Azure.
5. Security
We implement industry-standard practices in our AL code to ensure data integrity. Users are responsible for managing internal Business Central “Permissions Sets” to restrict access to Rebilling Pro setup and history to authorized personnel only.
Terms and Conditions
By activating and using Rebilling Pro, you (“The User”) agree to the following:
- Service Requirement: The User acknowledges that Rebilling Pro requires a valid Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central license and environment to function.
- Operational Responsibility: While Rebilling Pro automates billing cycles, the User is responsible for verifying the accuracy of all G/L entries and posted documents generated by the software.
- Safety Guardrails: The User agrees not to bypass built-in safety checks, specifically regarding the Job Queue and Sandbox/Production environment detection.
- Updates: LINELIGHT TRADING CANADA INC. reserves the right to update the extension to maintain compatibility with Business Central Major Waves.
- Termination: Access to Rebilling Pro features is contingent upon a valid subscription. Upon expiration, “Pro” features will be disabled, but existing G/L data remains the property of the User within their tenant.
